At this point, I’m literally running on Starbucks Doubleshot. I think I’ve had about 10 hours of sleep in the past 3 days.

Update: The Results Are In!

Here are the official results (open-rate on the right):

1.) “The Fastest Way to Build a List”   (48.1%)
2.) “So, You Want to become a List Building Ninja?” (39.4%)
3.) “This List Building Tip Is Almost Too Easy”     (35.5%)

“The Fastest Way to Build a List” received the highest open rate. However, 80% of the votes we’re for #3, which had the lowest open-rate.

When I ran this test, even I was surprised by the results. This is why it’s sooooo important to test. Often times our assumptions prove false. Testing is the only true way to see what works best.

In this case, we’ve increased the open rate by over 10% from the #3 subject line to the #1 subject line. And the more people you get to open your email the more money you make. This is like giving yourself an instant pay raise.

Quite Note: The test above was done with a very fresh list and that’s why the number’s are quite high overall. (48% open rate is unheard of unless it’s a fairly fresh, new list of subscribers.) Each email was sent out to 500 subscribers.

These simple split-tests are a goldmine. Simple little tweaks like this can make a HUGE difference on your bottom line.
